Family First=Fun Fair

After finished the MASIR Fun Fair for some kids, I realized that Family was the most important and should be put in the First priority.
Thanks our Boss reminds me through Iris. I learnt to be an active listener and be still in order to understand iris feeling.
I also learnt that I can't fulfill all the needs around me. I only can do is focus on one people or one thing at a time.
I am really thankful to have chance to run the MASIR FF program.
I already did my part, let's wait for others to follow and help the kids grow up.
As Jesus said: "Let the children come to me, don't hinder them."
All kids are lovely and should be loved.

reminder for myself

Dear Sis,
Yes, I will keep my passion to those who are in need especially orphans.
It's too hard for HK people to slow down and enjoying live.
Does the creator really want us to work and work endlessly?
What are the purposes of our lives?
If HE is in charge, why do we bother and worry too much!
After these few months, I think I should learn the lesson of "Be still".
My focus is on my family first, then others families like YanZhen and Yan Jun.I also learn from the book "The Church Never Sleep" that love one people at a time. Then the miracle will happen. Just do one thing at a time.
The most important thing that I need to make sure is
my passion=our Boss' passion.
I wish you can take good rest and enjoy everyday.Tomorrow will be better. But Today is a "Present" from our boss.
Do we ready to receive the present? Haha...
So good to have “present” everyday. I have really good sleep last night. I almost didn't sleep on the night before because Towa fear the storm and raining.Be good to yourself.

Iris Birthday

Time flies. It has been more than one year I didn't write anything to this blog. She found out what we did for her birthday two yers ago from this blog. What a good memory from my blog! So, I decided to write again when I talked with her yesterday.
We spend a day together. We went to tea house in the morning at "Meng Tong Quan" enjoying our quiet time with newspaper and books. Then we had lunch just she and me. It seems quite a long time that we haven't done this. It was really a good day and we had really good time sharing our thoughts and made it clear our purpose to stay in china.
We went to have foot-massage after lunch. Then we went to supermarket buying snacks for tomorrow's trip to TianTaiShan.
HeRong and WangLu picked us to the farm house. HeDaShu, YanZhen and YanJun already prepared a big feast for Iris' birthday. HeRong brought a red wine and YanJun brought fish, chicken and cake. Jack made a chocolate cake too.
We all were full and we enjoyed the dinner. We ended by the moon light.
Iris got a call from Enoch's friends on the way home. She was laughting when chatting on the phone. She was content and I was well-pleased.
Thanks for our Father prepared all these for Iris.

Shocked

Tonight Iris and I are really shocked by the provision of God through His people. A group of brothers and sisters show their concern to Jack’s education. They would like to support Jack to go to International School in order to provide better education for him. We never think of such thing would happen. I know God really love Jack and prepare so many angels surround him. I hope Jack will remember this when he grows up and no matter where he goes, he will serve God wholeheartedly.

As the Bible said:

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man.

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

Farewell Party

Time flies. I can't believe that we have only 14 days left before we leave HK.
The good thing is we are getting closer to our adventure!
I am really thankful to our Lord who guide and lead us to this change.
Start from last week, we already have 4 farewell dinners. There are more coming up.
Before I forgot, I think it's better to write something on my blog even though my blog was silent for near 10 months.
1. June 24, Choi Ge arranged a dinner with Brenda, Pau and Choi's families. We had 18 people in one table. What a privilege to be one of these families! Choi Ge worried about our living in China but his care and concern really impressed me.
2. June 26, Wendy, Ka Yan, Christina and her mum had dinner with Iris and I at City U. I met these three sisters at LTS through Ka Yan in January 2004. They always remember my birthday and really a blessings to me.
3. June 27, Teacher Fellowship arranged farewell lunch at CAHCC school. Dinner at Chak Kei and Annie's home.
4. June 28, Jack and I had lunch with Hoi Yan. She insisted that she paid the bill. She really grows up and she cares Jack very much. She brought many snacks to Jack.
5. July 1, lunch with Han tze, Daniel and Theresa's family(Mr.Fung, Kin Ho, Kin Yiu and sister)
at City U. Farewell Dinner with Taipo AOG brothers and sisters. Ah four arranged this gathering and invited other bike team leaders such as Tak Choi and Tim's families, Ah Fung and Michelle of TSTSCC.
6. July 2, William and Debbie arranged a farewell party with some families from Enoch and Joy fellowship. I was really impressed by their compliments.
7. July 3, Dinner at Mrs.Chan's home with Chung, Shan Shan and Mr.Chan. We were glad to see that Jack had a good time to chat with Chung and Shan Shan.
8. July 4, Dinner with Pak Fai, Pui Man and Yan Yan. Yan Yan may move to Yunan in the future.

Newsletter 20060918

Dear All,

It seems a long time since I have sent out my update news. I hope this letter finds you well and you still remember me, especially friends from Calvary Chapel Bible College (Murrieta). I will try to give you some highlights from my family.

First I want to thank you for your prayers, care and concern which are really important to us. We thank God for leading us to follow HIS step and serving others according to HIS will.

Thanksgiving:

I graduated in June and got my MA degree in theology. Even thought I wasn’t sure I could make it, God granted me this chance to equip myself beginning in 2003. Three and a half years passed, almost double the period of my study plan. God is so amazing and He allowed me to take a longer break than I had expected. There is another amazing thing in my life. I will start serving at Jack’s primary school as a Religion Teacher in the mid of September. Basically I will teach Bible lessons during weekdays and serve at the church on weekends because the church is located inside the school. That’s totally God’s plan. I didn’t have any intention to serve as a pastor in a church and I had just wanted to serve as a tent-maker in China. But God had a better plan for me. I needed to obey and follow HIS guidance. After considering Jack’s education, I decided to stay in HK for a few more years. In the meantime, I will go to visit different missionaries in China during the school holidays.

Iris also starts teaching again in the same school. She benefited very much from her sick leave period. She took a break and rested for the past few months. This summer Iris and Jack had their first bike trip in China with parents and teenagers. We had a great time at the Ark orphanage which serves Tibetan orphans. We visited another orphanage in Fu Zhou in August and then we traveled with some parents and kids to visit a family who served in the mountain area of Guang Dong. God is so good to us and we experienced HIS love and mercy through all the people that we met in China.

Jack is promoted to Christian Alliance secondary school in September. He enjoys the new school life with some friends from his primary school.

Pray for Iris’ adaptation back to school after having left for 8 months.

Pray for Terence’s serving at school and church.

Happy Birthday to my dearest wife, Iris.

Sept 5 was Iris’s birthday. We went with Jack to Ha Wun Yiu village to let him have a look of our preferred rental house. Surprisingly he liked it so much and then we took a walk to the taipo station. We all liked this house but I had a bit worry about the safety when Iris went home alone. During the past week, we were looking for a right place to live. We want to find one near taiwo station for Iris’s convenience to school. But it’s so difficult to find. Then we went to Fanling searching for village house near station. Concerning the distance and the rental fee, we don’t think Fanling is good for us.

We met PuiShan (teacher in a taipo school) at the Taipo Plaza when Iris and I had afternoon tea there. We talked about our friends such as May, Fong Ming and Law Lap Kwan (UCC student in 1988). I called LapKwan and May. I talked for a while on the phone with May. Although we don’t meet often, we still have strong friendships that link us together through Christ.

Afterward we went to MaOnShan and had dinner in the Shanghi restaurant. Jack preferred Hardees’ black pepper beef rice to Shanghi dumplings. Iris and I enjoyed our meal just she and I. We met NgWaiFung when we left restaurant. She told us that her daughter HoiYee just flew to England this morning further her study in a boarding school.

Then we drove back home and enjoyed a mango cheese cake together. We were so full tonight and I was glad to see Iris’s smile.
